Q: “What do you do when you’re not playing, when you’re not out there on the road?”

A: Zoot Sims: “I'm usually in the yard.”

Interviewer: “That's why you like gardening, right?”

Zoot Sims: “Yes.”

Interviewer: “Yeah.”

Zoot Sims: “I've got a lot of roses and I love tomatoes, so I grow tomato, but that's only a short season. But I just love to be out. You know, I've got about an acre … and you know, I'm making walks and doing things like that.”
