Q: “It still ends up that you’re out on the road with one saxophone. It must be a little bit fearful at times. If anything happens to that and you’re in Nice or something, what do you do?”

A: “Yeah, well, I've had. I had that happen. I lost the screw out of one when I was with Benny and about a couple of years ago, and on my case, I had Benny Goodman and Mike on there. You know, he went to get this guy to put a screw in there. He charged me $15. I said, "Man, I'm not Benny." [inaudible, loud laughter]
