Q: “You mention that you’re thirty one years old, you’ve gotten an awful lot of experience in those thirty one years. How early did you get out and play as a professional?”

A: Mulgrew Miller: “Well, if professional means making money, I started when I was eleven.”

Interviewer: “Really?”

Mulgrew Miller: “But if professional means playing with the so-called big names, then I started when I was 21.”
