Q: “Anne Marie [Moss] kind of does the arrangements that you use, she works out the music more than you do in that way, eh?”
A: Jackie Paris: “Yeah, she's into a lot of that, the time signatures and keys things and she's just a fine musician. She really is, man. She's got ears that are unbelievable harmonically, which is a great asset, you know. Where you can ... Perfect pitch is one thing that she has anyway, but that's okay, but when you can hear harmonically like she does, man. You know, like they used to tell the story of Jacky Baird [ph], you know, when they were together in Maynard's band and he gets some of these halls that the piano was so bad they tune up with Anne. They had...”

Jackie Paris: “Yeah, the whole section would tune up with Anne, that's how they would tune. And Gene Shariko [ph] can tell you that story, the bass player. He always tells that story around the country, you know.”
