Q: “You mention a family of teachers – was there any disappointment when you said ‘I’m going to be a musician’?”

A: “Quite a bit, yeah, a lesson from my mother. She was worried about drugs and wrong kind of sex and these things, which I guess mothers do, you know. And when I invited her and my dad, too, and kind of get it all. I think that among other things, I have to convince her that I was serious.”
