Q: “You had a radio series, I think it was on Sunday afternoons – Flow Gently Sweet Rhythm? How did that come about?”
A: Russell Procope: “Yes, well, it was a sustaining program, meaning that we didn't...”
Interviewer: “You didn’t have a sponsor.”
Russell Procope: “We didn’t have a sponsor, that's right. We did that … it was one o'clock, every Sunday afternoon and we were working at Liana's Club and we also had a commercial, Duffy's Tavern, which we did for two seasons and we also had a contract to make transcription every month and it was going pretty good. At one time, it was going pretty good. But still and all, I have to talk about it because it was a fact. The prejudices in the business and in New York and in the country or wherever is what kept us from doing a lot of things we could have done. “
