Q: “For guys of your generation, the road was a home, wasn’t it? You avoided that in a way because you didn’t really go on the road, you stuck around New York…”

A: “Well, yeah, my first road tour really was when I joined the Floyd Ray Band and we done the tour all the way because they were based in Los Angeles.”
