Q: “The pattern of living [on the road] is a strenuous one, but it must be one you get used to and then virtually thrive on as well, right?”

A: “That’s right, and you know, the average musician gets more sleep than the man who has a 9 to 5 job. Well, he sleeps to bed and then he sleeps on the bus or whatever it is they are traveling one time or the other and he has a nap. And the doctor will tell you that’s one of the most important things that can exist that besides to your normal sleep, if you can get an hour's nap in the course of the day, then you're in good shape, and that’s what we do.”
