Q: “Has that been something you’ve always done through your career is write music, create music that way too?”

A: “Yeah, I started right. I started right off. After dad gave me those first few piano lessons and taught me harmony and theory, it just, you know, things were going on in my mind, you know, and I've got ... I don't mean to blow my own horn, but as long as we're talking about music, well, the things like I've got seven major works to my credit now. That is symphony things that I've done completely myself.”
