Q: “What are you doing most of the time now? Is it the kind of engagements that we’re seeing you do here [in Toronto] at Bourbon Street?”
A: Lew Tabackin: “This is kind of unusual for me. I don't too much of this. I basically, I go out with the band, and I have a trio project that I work with Michael Moore the bass player and a drummer by the name of Joey Baron. I don't if you're familiar with him.”
Interviewer: “I know the name.”
Lew Tabackin: “A very talented, young drummer. But it's getting difficult, I'm finding that this is kind of an experiment for me.”
Interviewer: “To do a single, that's what.”
Lew Tabackin: “To do singles and see if I'm able to project the music that I want to project. So I'm just trying to see if I can get enough across, you know, close enough. You know, just playing with musicians and so, fortunately like these guys are real good players.”
