Q: “You want your music to be heard, right? It’s not enough to have written it – I couldn’t imagine being a Beethoven or somebody who wrote, wrote, wrote and barely ever heard his music performed…”

A: “And I like it to be heard, I think, yeah, even if not very often. The thought of just sitting down at the piano and writing something when you ... if you actually knew it was never going to be heard, I don't know if I could do that or not.”
