Q: “You’re a great raconteur – whether you’re quite aware of it yourself or not. Maybe you just think of yourself as just a talker but you know about the music, and you know about the people…”


A: “It's good. Great fun. But number one, I was the luckiest guy that ever lived simply because I was always around somebody from whom I could learn something and it just seemed as though it was one star after another. I did not realize it at the time but they all had good words of encouragement, and they all told me different things from which I benefited hugely.”
