Q: “The Boston scene obviously produced some good musicians – some of the people you work with are from there as well…”

A: Christopher Hollyday: “Oh, absolutely.”

Interviewer: “Yeah?”

Christopher Hollyday: “Yeah, and I had, you know, an opportunity to play with guys with Alan Dawson and Alan was, you know, like a father to me. As I was growing up, he was a very good teacher, a great teacher and you know, telling us stuff ... And guys like Billy Pierce were around to see and James Williams was around for a little bit before he went down to New York. And you know, they were all, amongst other musicians, were all very supportive of me and my brother's music. So it was a very good .. it still is a very good place for musicians to start out with, I think, Boston.”
