Q: “Do you do much songwriting?”

A: Christopher Hollyday: “I guess so. I really don't just sit down and write just for the, you know, say I'm gonna write a tune. Usually, most of the things start as an idea and they get developed and if they turn into a song, then cool. If not, you know, then we rehearse it and try it, eventually it might end up on a recording. But if not, then just kind of use it as a piece of a little statement in one of my solos or something.”

Interviewer: “Right. Right.”

Christopher Hollyday: “But I like it when you finally get something and you get it all finished; it has a beginning and it has an end and you can say, "Hey, this has a tune."
