Q: “You seem to have a pretty good connection with Canadian musicians in New York – Peter Leech …”

A: Bill Mays: “Yeah, Peter. In fact, I tried to get Peter to work with my quintet next month, but he was too busy off doing something of his own.”

Interviewer: “And I know Terry Clarke is one of your favorite voice.”

Bill Mays: “I've worked with Terry a lot, used him on a couple of recording projects and we're good buddies, yeah.”
