Q; “Is the solo [work] more or less difficult than you though it would be?”

A: “I'm more tired at the end of the night. There are no crutches. Nobody to rely on when you lay out and let the drummer have some and he's not there. It's fun, though. I can really just let my imagination go and I can play from a much wider variety of material than I normally would maybe with a trio.”
