Biography

ROGER KELLAWAY (pianist, composer, arranger) was born November 1, 1939 in Waban, Massachusetts. The highly acclaimed “musical chameleon” has over 250 albums in his discography which includes everyone from Elvis to Yo Yo Ma, Dizzy Gillespie and Quincy Jones. Composing in jazz, classical and popular music as well as performing with Kai Winding, Al Cohn and Zoo Sims early in his career he was also singer Bobby Darrin’s musical director. His prolific scoring for films and television is best recognized in “Remembering You” the closing theme to “All in the Family”, and his film work earned him an Oscar nomination for “A Star is Born”. Since the 1980s he has focused more on his jazz performing and recording.
