Martin Loomer
Biography
MARTIN LOOMER (guitarist) played in four separate “Sound of Toronto Jazz” Concerts between 1979 and 1998. The first was when he played guitar with Jim Galloway’s Wee Big Band, a band of which he has been a member from its formation, when they performed their debut concert from the Ontario Science Centre on February 12, 1979.
His second “Sound of Toronto Jazz” performance was with Shox Johnson and the Toronto Jive Bombers on March 24, 1980, followed by the January 12, 1982 concert featuring Reeds and Rhythm, directed by Gordon Evans, and leading his own Martin Loomer Quartet in February of 1998.
