MARK WHITFIELD (guitarist, composer, arranger) was born October 6, 1966 . The Berklee graduate whose versatility extends to film scoring for TV and film has worked in a variety of genres including pop and R and B with artists like George Benson (his teacher and mentor), Dizzy Gillespie, Betty Carter, Quincy Jones and Mary J. Blige. In addition to touring with trumpeter Chris Botti, Whitfield is on faculty at the Berklee College of Music.
