Landen Vieira

Biography

LANDEN VIEIRA (saxophone) As a saxophonist and composer, Landen Vieira is emerging as an exciting new voice on the Canadian jazz scene. Landen attended the University of Toronto, studying with saxophonists Kelly Jefferson, Mike Murley, and Tim Ries. While completing his studies, Landen was a member of the University of Toronto Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Gordon Foote and had the opportunity to perform with guest artists Donny McCaslin and David Liebman. 

In 2012, Landen received the JAZZ.FM91 Mary Alice Stuart Scholarship, which was presented at the TD Toronto Jazz Festival. Currently, Landen performs as both a leader and a side man. He can be heard performing at various venues in the Toronto area.
