JOHNNY GUARNIERI (pianist, bandleader) was born March 23, 1947 in New York City and passed away January 7, 1985. An accomplished, jazz and stride pianist, in addition to leading his own groups, Guarnieri’s most notable associations were with Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw in the 1940’s.
