JOHN GITTINS (pianist, educator) was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

He was a member of the (saxophonist) Bill Goddard/John Gittins Quartet (with Don Thompson on bass and Barry Elmes on drums) when they were featured in the “Sound of Toronto Jazz” Concert Series at the Ontario Science Centre on December 4, 1989.
