JILL HOOPLE (pianist) was one of the more prominent women playing jazz in Toronto  in the 1980s, playing with saxophonists Jane Fair, Janet Bunnett, and others in the Ladies of Jazz band from 1986 to 1989.

Hoople led her own Jill Hoople Trio in performance for the “Sound of Toronto Jazz” Concert Series at the Ontario Science Centre on March 1. 1987.
