Biography

JESSICA WILLIAMS (pianist, composer) was born on March 17, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland. Described by Dave Brubeck as “One of the greatest pianists I have ever heard”, the classically trained, two time Grammy nominee, has performed with many jazz legends including Philly Joe Jones, Dexter Gordon, Eddie Harris and Charlie Haden. In her critically acclaimed career, Williams has over 65 albums and 300 compositions to her credit and numerous honours including 2 grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and a Guggenheim Fellowship .
