Biography

INGRID JENSEN (trumpeter, flugelhorn, bandleader, educator) Vancouver born and Nanaimo raised Jensen moved to Boston after receiving scholarships to the Berklee College of Music. Since graduating in 1989, the critically praised Jensen has been an active leader and soloist with such groups as the Maria Schneider Orchestra and her own Nordic Connect. She claimed the Juno Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album in 1995 for”Vernal Fields”.
