Biography

GARRY DIAL (pianist, composer, arranger, bandleader, educator) A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Dial became a protégé of the great Mary Lou Williams as a teen. Among his credits are recording the entire Duke Ellington catalogue at the family’s request and his 10 year association with the Red Rodney/Ira Sullivan Quintet producing Grammy nominated albums. His own projects have included the talents of Jay Anderson, Joey Baron and Dick Oatts. Dialis an active educator and performer in New York.
