Chris Chahley

Biography

CHRIS CHAHLEY (saxophonist) performed in the ‘Sound of Toronto Jazz' Concert Series as leader of the Chris Chahley Nonet and a member of the Claude Ranger Quintet.

Both prominent figures on the Toronto jazz scene in the 1980s, Chris and his wife Lisa are the parents of brilliant young up-and-coming trumpeter Brian Chahley, who credits them as his earliest jazz influences. Brian has performed with the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet while also holding an administrative position at that prestigious California institution.
