Bob Wilber
Biography
BOB WILBER (clarinetist, saxophonist, bandleader) was born March 15, 1928 in New York, NY. An advocate of classic jazz, Wilber has performed with Bobby Hackett, Benny Goodman, Sidney Bechet (with whom he studied) and Eddie Condon and was a member of the World’s Greatest Jazz Band and the Soprano Summit. Wilber continues to tour and has numerous recordings to his credit, earning a Grammy nomination in 1968 for the “Music of Hoagy Carmichael”.
