Q: “You started playing very young, didn’t you? You were of a musical family – your parents were musicians…”

A: “My daddy gave me a violin. He gave my brother and I a violin when I was six years old. I started playing the violin at the same time I started first grade in school. So I took violin lessons for a long time, from the time I was six until I was about fourteen, fifteen years old.”
