Q: “The sound of the vibes that you have now is not an amplified sound. I think they’ve done a very good job in working with your instrument that way…”

A: “Well, I think, a lot of things depend on us. Yes, I think so, too. This pickup is done by a company in California and we tried it out about, oh I guess it was ten or twelve years ago. A friend of mine put it on marimba and I put it on an old vibraphone I had in the garage and the firm put it on. They don’t like to put ‘em on, so they’ve taught Degan [ph] and a few people how to put them on, the manufacturer or the instrument, but I've still got one. That's the same one, it still sounds the same and it’s right up to par today.”
