Q: “Had it been your intention to be a professional musician or is it something you sort of fell into?”

A: “Well, I was packing shingles one day for my father who was a builder and I was packing them in the rain and I thought geez, I think I'll stick with the piano. It would be a lot easier than this, you know, so I made up my mind when I was young.”
