Q: “A little background on Milt Hinton, just in case there are some people out there who aren’t as familiar as they might be with you…”

A: Milt Hinton: “Well, thank you. Well, my name is Milton John Hinton, nicknamed 'Judge' by most of my peers. I've been playing for any, many years now. I was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi in the States on June 23, 1910. So I've had quite an experience and the fortunate playing. I did my first record date in 1930. That's 54 years ago.”

Interviewer: “Wow.”

Milt Hinton: “And I did my last one last week and I'm finishing the album up next week when I go back home.”
