Q: “If anybody has made a huge number of recordings, it has to be you. For a number of years there, you pretty well lived in studios, didn’t you Milton?”

A: Milt Hinton: “Yes, from through the '50s and '60s and early '70s, I was with a group called the New York Rhythm Section. It consisted of Hank Jones, Ozzie Johnson.”

Interviewer: “Yeah.”

Milt Hinton: “Hank Jones was the piano. Ozzie Johnson, drums. Barry Galbraith, guitar, and yours truly, bass. And we just about recorded around the clock. We used to do at least three recordings everyday. It was like 10 to 1, 2 to 5, and 7 to 10.”
