Q: “Would you call yourself a jazz piano player, considering all the other things you’ve done? If somebody says to you ‘what do you do for a living’ do you say I’m a jazz piano player or do you say I’m a piano player, musician?”

A: “I'm a musician, I say, and that's where I come from, but everything that I do is jazz-oriented. It comes from the beat. It comes from the flow. It comes from the influences and it comes from what I am as an individual. Now, that all might be debatable when heard, but at the same time, that's what I am and I'm not changing.”
