Q: “You spent twenty years on the west coast; what sort of work were you doing – jazz work for the most part or studio things?”

A: Yes, I worked in the studios. I did motion pictures. I did television. I did a lot of recordings. I recorded ten albums of my own. I did about, at least, ten with Gerald. You know, we did an album with Nancy Wilson called 'Yesterday's Love Songs, Today's Blues'. We did one with Julie London.
