Q: “What’s improving in your music? It can’t be the technical ability; you’ve always had that…”

A: “No, not so much the technical. I just think there is more emotional commitment all the time and I've always tried to have emotional commitment, but I think it's a little deeper as the days goes by, you know. And I'm learning ... I'm still learning to be choosier with the material I play. I'm learning to be a broader in the fact that I can play like with the bass and make something happen interesting. I think I'm doing it better than I would have a few years ago.”
