Q: “That’s something about jazz, isn’t it – the older you get, the better you get. It’s not like classical music where you can be a technical, young whiz and that’s enough…”

A: “No, if you're a jazz player for the right reasons, as I would say the right reasons, most of the players, I don't know, as they get older, they get better, you know. They may get more technically proficient, they may not, but the music will have a lot more meaning all the time.”
