Transcription

Q: “You’ve been singing a long time now, haven’t you?”

A: “Yes, I guess so. Since I was about sixteen, I used to give little kids around school a lesson on parts. And in fact, I had a group called the Melody Masters one time, which is about sixteen young people and I never did write arrangements at that time. I just said “You sing ba-bo-dee-do-du” and it was all by ear and sort of fun and you know, that's how it all started.”
