Q: “Is that the sort of accompaniment you like to work with - just a trio, or would you change anything if it were your own gig at home – would you call different instrumentalists or anything?”

A: “No, that's the basic sound. You know, if possible, once in a while I'd get a call to maybe at a horn or two and then I'll add someone who can play most of the, you know, alto, tenor and maybe flute.”
