Q: “What sort of music was it that you were out playing when you first started playing? What sort of bands?”

A: “Well, I still listen to Duke Ellington, Jungle Band, and I listen to the Dixieland bands. I listen to everything. That's why I say you're never finished with the instrument. You can always learn something else.”
