Q: “You do seem to make most of your recordings overseas. Is it still a wider audience for jazz music in the art sense in Europe, Japan, etc?”

A: “I don't know. I don't know. The only reason I record more over there is nobody asked me to record in the States, so that's all. Major labels don't care about it anymore, so you cross them off. There are very few labels of any size for jazz.”
