Q: “You’ve worked with the greats, the near-greats; you’ve set standards that are going to be hard for anybody to match on your instrument and yet you practice every day! You bring your horn out and you actually practice…”

A: “Yes, that's the fascinating point about it, that everything you pick it up, you learned something. You really do and I understand it. I really don't get a chance to practice as much as I would like to, even with playing as much as I do. It's still it’s an advantage to pick up your horn and really practice and just watch it where they'll try things, you know.”
