ART HODES (pianist, broadcaster, journalist, educator ) Russian born, Chicago raised Hodes was a proponent and student of the traditional jazz movement of the 1920s. In addition to performing and recording, he edited the “Jazz Record” magazine, contributed to “Downbeat”, had a radio show and a television series “Jazz Alley” in the 1960s.
