Mark Miller

Biography

MARK MILLER (writer, photographer) Toronto born Miller is one of Canada’s pre-eminent jazz critics, writing for the “Globe and Mail” newspaper from 1978 – 2005. In addition to authoring six books, four of them on jazz, including “The Miller Companion to Jazz in Canada”, he is also a noted photographer and freelance writer for publications such as “Coda” and “Downbeat”. Miller was associate editor of the second edition of the Encyclopedia of Music in Canada (1992).
