Biography
ROBERT ERIC 'BOB' GEORGE (pianist) was born April 6, 1944 in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. He passed away January 30, 2003 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
His family later moved to Hamilton where Bob obtained a Sociology Degree from McMastter University, while continuing to pursue his musical career.
Bob George played jazz piano in the Toronto area for over 25 years, performing with many of the major jazz musicians including Reg Schwager, Neil Swainson, Kieran Overs, Kirk MacDonald, and Dave Young. He has played in all the major venues going right back to George’s Spaghetti House and more recently, the Top o’ the Senator. He toured throughout England, France and the islands of the South Pacific. He can be heard on a number of CDs, including his own Duets which was recorded in early 2002.
